We decided to tackle the front guest bedroom first. No more giant track lighting and now it's white. It took us about two weeks to complete. There were a couple of days that were just too cold to paint. Thanks to help and advice from our talented friend Debra, we found Benjamin Moore STIX primer would cover the poly-d knotty pine without having to sand it first. It works great! Then two coats of Ben Moore Linen White. Three coats would probably be perfect but luckily our eyesight is fading.
